Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using Keychains.dev. Plain language where possible, legal precision where necessary.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Keychains.dev ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Service is operated by Interagentic, Inc. ("Interagentic," "we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
Keychains.dev is a credential delegation proxy for AI agents. The Service:
Stores user-provided API credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys) in encrypted form.
Proxies authenticated API requests on behalf of AI agents, injecting credentials server-side.
Provides machine identity verification through SSH keypairs and stateful fingerprinting.
Maintains audit logs of all proxied API calls for transparency and accountability.
Enables scoped credential delegation between agents and sub-agents.
The Service acts as a proxy and intermediary. We do not control the third-party APIs your agents access, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or terms of service.
3. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the security of your account credentials and SSH private keys.
All activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by AI agents you authorize.
Ensuring that credentials you store with Keychains are obtained and used in compliance with the respective API provider's terms.
Promptly revoking machine access if you suspect a private key has been compromised.
Keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
Malicious proxying
Use Keychains to route API traffic for malicious purposes, including DDoS amplification, data exfiltration, or circumventing API rate limits in bad faith.
Credential harvesting
Attempt to intercept, collect, or exfiltrate credentials belonging to other users, whether through the Service or by exploiting agent behavior.
API provider abuse
Use the Service in a way that violates the terms of service of any API provider whose credentials you store with Keychains.
Unauthorized access
Attempt to access accounts, credentials, machines, or data belonging to other Keychains users.
Reverse engineering
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, architecture, documentation, and branding, is the property of Interagentic, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over credentials, audit logs, or any content you store with or transmit through the Service. We access your data only as necessary to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Proxy downtime
The Service is provided "as is." While we strive for high availability, we are not liable for damages arising from proxy downtime, latency, or service interruptions.
Third-party API issues
We are not responsible for errors, outages, rate limiting, or policy changes by third-party API providers. Keychains proxies requests but does not guarantee the availability or behavior of target APIs.
Agent behavior
We are not liable for actions taken by AI agents using credentials delegated through the Service. Users are responsible for the agents they authorize and the permissions they grant.
Damages cap
In no event shall Interagentic's total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Data processing
Our collection, use, and protection of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by contacting us. Upon termination:
All stored credentials will be securely deleted.
All active machine authorizations will be revoked immediately.
Audit logs will be retained according to your configured retention period (default 90 days, or as required by law) and then purged.
Account data will be purged as fast as possible, and within a maximum of 30 days.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Where practicable, we will provide notice before termination.
9. Service availability
We commit to commercially reasonable efforts to maintain high availability of the Service. We monitor uptime, respond to incidents promptly, and maintain redundancy across our infrastructure. However, we do not currently offer a formal SLA with guaranteed uptime percentages. We will communicate planned maintenance windows in advance when possible.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Interagentic, Inc., its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party API provider's terms of service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the product or other appropriate channels. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
